  As businesses grow, they often add heat generating equipment that many of the existing air conditioning systems were not designed to handle. Computers, electronic equipment, telecommunication systems, manufacturing machines and their products, and personnel all need to be kept cool or production would stop. It would prove too costly to cool an entire area that the workers and equipment were in. Equipment that could be set up in large rooms and keep small areas cool was needed. Portable air conditioning is the solution.

The systems can be installed almost anywhere in a matter of minutes. High rise buildings, hospitals, and ships soon realized the necessity of the units as well. STOKLEY'S SERVICES started yet another distribution network as the need for extra cooling grew. Many companies however needed the units on a temporary basis or simply did not have storage space when the systems were not needed: STOKLEY'S developed a rental fleet so that they could accommodate the needs of these companies.

Looking to improve on the portable units, STOKLEY'S SERVICES formed a manufacturing company called COLD AIR PRODUCTS and began production of the AVENGER series of portable air conditioners. The portable units are now being sold and rented across the United States as well as the world.
